RMIT  University Vietnam scholarships

In 2018, RMIT Vietnam will sponsor four scholarships. Two of the scholarships will be offered to female applicants only, while the other two will be offered to the best applicants, regardless of gender.

Applicants who are successful in receiving a scholarship are sponsored 50% of tuition fees for the maximum duration of their candidature.

Scholarship duration;
The standard duration of a research doctorate scholarship is three years full-time. Candidates may apply for an extension of up to six months subject to satisfactory progress and approval of PhD Program Committee Panel.

Eligibility;
To be considered for scholarship, candidates must have:

* A Master Degree by Research with Distinction
* English language certificate of an IELTS 6.5 or equivalent
* A strong PhD research proposal

Other scholarships;
Apart from that, RMIT Vietnam is now having several international projects on environmental and urban green studying, water and natural resources management.

While involving in these EU-funded projects, candidates shall be awarded full scholarship for undertaking PhD program. Applicants who are successful in receiving this scholarship are sponsored 100% of tuition fees for the maximum duration of three years without extension. 

Eligibility;
To be considered for project-based scholarship, candidates must have:

* A Master Degree by Research with Distinction
* English language certificate of an IELTS 6.5 or equivalent
* Degree and/or experience in the areas of environmental science, environmental management, environmental engineering, urban planning, urban design, urban green, water and natural resource management,  etc.
* If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will only be considered for a scholarship if you have international journal publications or significant research experience.

Note:
These scholarships are not applicable to current RMIT employees, current PhD students or former PhD students.

Key dates and how to apply;
Applicants applying for a scholarship should submit the PhD application to phd.enquiries@rmit.edu.vn (link sends e-mail) (as scanned documents).

The main scholarship rounds are as follows:

Intake 1: apply no later than 30 November each year for enrolment in February of the next year. Applications will be accepted until 5pm on 30 November (Vietnam time).

Intake 2: apply no later than 31 July each year for enrolment in October of the same year. Applications will be accepted until 5pm on 31 July (Vietnam time).

Selection criteria;
All scholarship applications will be ranked based on a ranking model that has been approved by the RMIT Vietnam PhD Enrolment Committee.
