Distinct Institute of Management Science Admission Form for 2018/2019 Academic Session

Distinct Institute of Management Science Osogbo, Osun State is a new, state-of-the art Innovation Enterprise Institution (IEI) established in 2017 under the approval of Federal Ministry of Education. The Institute run courses leading to the award of National Innovation Diploma (NID) same as National Diploma (ND) in Science and Engineering and Management Sciences, approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

The Institute also offers a wide range of professional and career enhancement programmes, seminars and workshops at Advanced Diploma Certificate and diploma levels. Our programmes are dual-path, with emphasis on both cognitive and practical skills. Enriched by world-class faculty and teaching facility, our goal is to nurture the development of the much-needed manpower in the ICT and Management Science for national growth.

In line with the above, the Institute hereby invites interested candidates to apply for admission into its National Innovation Diploma (NID) programmes for the 2018/2019 academic session:

A. SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY:
Two-year (full-time/part time) National Innovation Diploma (NID/ND) in:
– Computer Software Engineering
– Security Management and Technology
– Building Construction Technology

Interested candidates with the following admission requirements are eligible to apply:
  1. Five (5) credit passes in GCE “O” level or Senior Secondary School Certificates (SSCE), NECO, NABTEB at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include Mathematics, English Language and any three subjects from the following: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, Agricultural Science, ICT/Computer Studies, Further Mathematics and Statistics.
  2. National Vocational Certificate (NVC,Final) in relevant fields of the above from an approved Vocational Enterprise Institution (VEI).
  3. In addition to (i) and (ii) above, a minimum score of 110 points with relevant subject combination in the 2018 JAMB-UTME is mandatory.

B. SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT
Two-year (full-time/part time) National Innovation Diploma (NID/ND) in
  • Banking Operations – Business Management Studies
  • Paralegal Studies – Mass Communication
  • Performing and Media Arts – Accounting
Interested candidates with the following admission requirements are eligible to apply:
  1. Five (5) credit passes in GCE “O” level or Senior Secondary School Certificates (SSCE), NECO, NABTEB at not more than two sittings. The Credit passes should compulsorily include English Language, Mathematics and any three subjects from the following: Economics, Commerce, Principles of Accounts, Business Methods, Literature-in-English, Government, Geography, Civic Education, Statistics, Agricultural Science, Biology, Office Practice, Typewriting and Shorthand.
  2. National Vocational Certificate (NVC, Final) in relevant fields from an approved Vocational Enterprise Institution (VEI).
  3. In addition to (i) and (ii) above, a minimum score of 110 points with relevant subject combination in the 2018 JAMB-UTME is mandatory.
