JAMB Registrar, Oloyede Reveals What Exposed Corruption In JAMB

The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Prof. Is’haq Oloyede has described the huge difference between the revenue generated by the board in 2017 and that of his predecessors as a reflection of chronic corruption in the system. He pointed out that since the inception of the admission body over 40 years ago, the total money generated were just N52m (fifty-two million naira) while the board, under his leadership, generated N9bn in 2017 only. Oloyede made this disclosure in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, while speaking as Lead Speaker during the 3rd Colloquium to celebrate Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s birthday, organised by Raufnomics Transformation of Osun, a socio-political group. JAMB to conduct Recruitment Test For FRSC 2018 Applicants

Few days after it conducted a test for applicants seeking to join the Nigeria Police Force, JAMB is set to conduct a similar test for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). JAMB’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Lagos. Benjamin said that the patronage by FRSC resulted from the success the board recorded in the recent conduct of recruitment test for the police. “The corps marshal was at the board a few days ago, where he expressed confidence in the conduct of such third party examination by the board. “He solicited for a partnership with the board to conduct the corps examination coming up soon. “The examination is for three cadres – officers, marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant cadres,” Benjamin said. Reps tell JAMB to Reduce Cost of UMTE Form to N3000

The House of Representatives lastweek urged the Federal Ministry of Education to review downward the cost of Unified Tertiary Examinations (UTME) by about 50 per cent from the current N7, 500.00 to not more than N3, 000.00. the House said it was in order to make university and other tertiary education accessible and affordable.
