NUC Approves Maritime University, Delta State For 2018 Degree studies

The Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State has received approval to offer degree programmes by the National Universities Commission.

The commencement of undergraduate degree programmes in the institution will be effective from the 2017/2018 academic session.

Academic activities are expected to commence in three faculties of the institution namely to include Transport, Engineering and Environmental Management.

The Faculty of Transport, has four departments which include;
a. Nautical Science.
b. Transport Logistics Management.
c. Marine Economics and
d. Finance, and Port Management.

The Faculty of Engineering has five departments which are;
a. Marine Engineering,
b. Civil Engineering,
c. Electrical Engineering,
d. Mechanical Engineering and
e. Petroleum and Gas Engineering,

While the Faculty of Environmental Management has four departments which are;
a. Environmental Management and Pollution,
b. Meteorology and Climate Change,
c. Fisheries and Aquaculture, and
d. Marine Geology.
