Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA Resumption Date.

The Senate of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) has given the go ahead for the formal commencement of the 2016/17 academic session in the institution.

In the highlight of the FUTA Academic calendar for the first semester released by the Registrar, Dr Mrs. Modupe Ajayi, online registration will begin on Monday December 12, 2016 for all students.

Old and fresh students are expected to visit the University website to complete their registration formalities and they have also been warned to be wary of conducting the registration through unauthorized and unofficial websites and individuals.

However the students are expected to arrive the campus on Tuesday January 3rd 2017 while the Matriculation ceremony for new students will take place on Friday January 27, 2017.

The cut -off date for the completion of registration for the academic session by all students is Friday January 20th 2017.

Students are therefore advised to ensure that they complete their registration by this date and should have all necessary documents in their possession.

The Calendar indicates that first semester examination will run between April 18th and May 10th 2017 while the semester will end on Thursday May 11th 2017.
