The Obafemi Awolowo University is a comprehensive public institution established in 1962 as The University of Ife. The University is situated on a vast expanse of land totaling 11,861 hectares in Ile-Ife, Osun State, southwest of Nigeria.

Job Title: Lecturer I - CONUASS 4
Location: Osun
Faculty: Education
Department: Educational Foundations and Counselling
Areas of Specialization: Philosophy of Education
Requirements 
  • Candidates must possess PhD in Philosophy of Education.
  • In addition, applicants should have at least three years of previous teaching and research experience in a recognized University and adequate articles in reputable academic journals. 


Job Title: Lecturer I - CONUASS 4
Location: Osun
Faculty: Social Sciences
Department: Political Science
Requirements 
  • Candidates for the position of Lecturer I should possess B.Sc., M.Sc and PhD degrees in the discipline from a reputable university or universities and a reasonable number of publications in reputable scholarly journals.
  • In addition, candidates should have spent at least three years as Lecturer II.
  • Candidates are to indicate their areas of specialization as well as their CGPA at the B.Sc. level.

  • Candidates must have a good first degree in social sciences/Humanities or Law.
  • They must also possess M.S. (with Thesis) in Economics, Accounting, Law, Public Administration, Local Government, Political Science with a fervor for qualitative techniques and Accounting or law.
  • Evidence of scholarly publications and registration for Ph.D will be an added advantage.


Job Title: Assistant Lecturer - CONUASS 2

Requirements 
  • Candidates applying for the position of Assistant Lecturer should possess first degree in Education, and a Master degree (M.A.Ed. by research thesis) in Educational Management or related fields, that is - Educational Administration; Educational Planning; Higher Educational Administration.
  • Candidates’ qualifications must be register-able for Ph. D programme (60%) and above in the coursework of academic M.A.Ed. Programme) in Educational Management or earlier stated related fields.
  • Candidates must be computer literate. Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (N.Y.S.C.) is mandatory.

  • Candidates applying for the position of Assistant Lecturer should possess B. A./B.Sc. in Physical and Health Education degree of Obafemi Awolowo University or any recognized institution with a minimum of 2 Class Upper Division, M. A/M.Sc. Physical and Health Education with Adapted Physical Education as area of Specialization, proficiency in two or more Sports and good communication skills.

Requirements 
  • Candidates applying for the position of Lecturer II must possess a good first degree in any of the Humanities/Social Sciences as well as M.Sc. (with thesis) and Ph.D degree in Law, Public Administration, Local Government, Political Science, Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University or any other reputable institution.

  • Candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer should possess B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD degrees in Political Science from a reputable university or universities and a reasonable number of publications in reputable scholarly journals including foreign- based journals.
  • In addition, candidates should have spent at least three years as Lecturer I.
