Wike, Lamido blast APC over campaign promises

PORT HARCOURT: Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and the former governor of Jigawa State,  Alhaji Sule Lamido, yesterday, took the government of  All Progressive Congress, APC, in the country to the cleaners, saying it had become an embarrassment, following  its alleged failure to actualise campaign promises.

In their separate comments at the commissioning of the reconstructed Ozuoba-Rumosi Road in Obio Akpor Local Government Area of the state, said the APC was a failure.

Lamido who commissioned the road, said only Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governors were working. “Only PDP governors are working. We in PDP, care and we are concerned. If we are giving a responsibility, we discharge it creditably. Governor Wike has done very well.  I extend the gratitude of the entire PDP family to Governor Wike for his performance,” he said.

Governor Wike said it was unfortunate that the APC government had continued to role out excuses for its inability to perform instead of delivering on campaign promises. Wike assured that his government will continue to deliver its campaign promises inspite of the economic recession.
